Of course as one would expect, there is relatively little to report at this time of year with the show season not yet underway etc. There is always something on the easel though thank heavens, so what have I got at the moment? Very near completion is the second Vulcan that I reported as in my mind in the last News Letter. As you can see, it is a totally different take on the gorgeous beast. I can hear those Olympus engines roaring away at full throttle. The original concept was to portray a typical Cold War scramble scenario, but I settled in the end after much deliberation for XH558. To complete the composition, I am including on the runway sides those black boards with numbers on, (1, 2, 3, 4 etc). I assume these are spaced at 100 yard intervals for pilot reference, but please let me know if I am wrong. It will be going into print and there will be a greetings card produced from it. I am expecting this one to sell well as I am always being asked for a Vulcan subject!

I am shutting down the mailing list facility. To all intents and purposes, the News Letter does seem to do the job, and it is quite obvious that if one is reading the mailing list shot, there is the availability of the computer to look at the News Letter. I would however at this point like to thank the people who have shown the interest in both me and my work in the past and have requested inclusion in the list.

The Hercules image ‘Falklands Freedom’, is now available as a Wentworth jigsaw puzzle priced at £20.50 (As is ‘Two Boys, One Dream')
This line in my product range is selling well, and we are looking forward to offering the Herc. at the sales unit in the new season.

As a follow up to the very popular underwater scene that was seen on a couple of occasions being painted on the easel at Air Shows, I have been commissioned to paint another one. This time I think the subject will be a Corsair. This will be a good subject, as there is plenty of that lovely long cowling to be encrusted with growth and plenty of panels to be pulled apart. I have just commenced this canvas and will report hopefully its completion in the next news letter.
